Time to evaluate our site!

Since we created our site, we've had a chance to sit back and really take a look at how well it operates.  The most pressing questions are: are we reaching the people we need to reach?  Are we showing our company to the market that needs to see us?  Are we doing all we can to be able to get the clients that will fuel our business?

The site was initially created back in 2016 and the traffic to it has been more than expected.  People from all over the United States have visited it, both by mistake (searching for web design and found us) and on purpose (searching for 25 Design and found what they were looking for).  We have had a lot of traffic to our home page (nearly 20 visits a month on average) but we noticed that not too many people go beyond that page.

When people click on the home page, they often leave from there as well, telling us one of two things: either we provide them with all the information they need on the home page and they don't need to go any further or they are simply not interested and leave to find something else.

We did an informal survey of some of our clients and some of the people at our school and found out that it is most likely the former.  We had a lot of information on the home page about what we do, how we do it, and how quickly we do it.  We also included the price, so people could get all the information they needed without having to contact us or proceed to other pages.

What we decided as a team to do was to simplify that information on the home page so that only the most important information was featured and it encouraged them to search the other pages to complete their inquiry.

After implementing this idea, we noticed that not only did the number of visits to our site increase slightly (30 visits per month on average) but also that the traffic from our home page to our "services" and "contact" pages increased as well and we were starting to get more inquiries through our contact form (though still minimal, about two inquiries per month).
